The creator of Nostra, Fiatjaf, launched the most decentralized social media so far. Built on Bitcoin, it allows users to own their content and can send microtransactions.
Social media platforms are censored
Today’s social media platforms are very successful, but at what cost? It turns out that Twitter is used by the government to suppress certain conversations that contradict their narrative, and Youtube regularly de-platforms anyone it deems not following their rules. Other social media platforms are in the same position.
Bitcoin works because it cannot be taken down by any government or agency. It is so that people can protect their wealth from a banking system that does not serve them.

Nostr is built on top of Bitcoin, and is the first truly censorship-resistant open protocol. ZEBEDEE and Fiatjaf co-creator Nostr have taken this even further, and on Thursday launched the ZBD app, which will allow users to get their content fairly valued, as they will be able to keep 99% of the value they create.
The social media features of the new app include a game-changing development called “Zaps”. This is a small micropayment of $0.0002, which can be sent to anyone in the world instantly and uncensored.
Messages, profiles, and posts are not limited to a single platform, and can stream on any app or website that Nostr supports, so if one platform is closed, many more can receive social media.
Also featured in the new app is the ability to be able to send payments via DM (Direct Messaging), and to get paid via games, podcasts, music, art, and anything else a user can dream up that creates value.
