Indiana-based blockchain company SIMBA Chain, which has worked on various projects with the US military in recent years, has received a $30 million funding round.
According to a January 31 United States Air Force (USAF) announcement, the military has invested $30 million in Simba as part of its goal to “identify and advance technologies that can secure future dominance.” Approved the Improved Strategic Financing (STRATFI).
Simba will receive $1.5 million from the USAF in 2020 to research and develop blockchain technology for supply chains, and another $1.5 million next year for the United States Navy (USN). working on something similar.
The $30 million STRATFI therefore represents a significant increase in investment in Simba, where blockchain technology is critical to the US military for securing its supply chain for weapons and other equipment. It reflects what we think there is.
