The Harmony Bridge attacker, who stole $100 million worth of Ethereum (ETH) in June, continues to launder his loot. Hackers laundered $27.18 million of stolen ETH over the weekend, according to to on-chain detective ZachXBT.
Six exchanges received laundered funds, investigators report. In addition, some of the stolen assets were frozen by the receiving exchange, said ZachXBT.
Earlier this week, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) identified the North Korean hacking organization Lazarus Group and its sub-unit APT38 as the culprits behind the Harmony Bridge attack. The North Korean government funds the Lazarus Group and related organizations.
By January 13, hackers had laundered more than $60 million of stolen ETH, which helped the FBI identify the attackers. Moreover, some of the stolen funds have been frozen by the FBI with the help of the exchange.
