Two-layer dedicated Ethereum wallet BLS Wallet launches integration with the ethereum protocol layer two smart contract layer Metis (METIS) — a promising zero-load transaction.
In an announcement shared with Crypto.News, this new integration will ease onboarding web 3.0 users to web 2.0 applications. This will be achieved by pre-funding transactions that are free for end users and social key recovery which reduces the consequences of mishandling private keys — among other things.
Developers using the Metis ecosystem are free to change between BLS Wallet or regular transactions and easily engage Web 2.0 users through gasless transactions which makes the interaction more similar to traditional web interface interactions without the involvement of digital assets.
This protocol also allows signature aggregation resulting in multiple transactions being processed as one large transaction to save costs.
All of those features put together produce what James Zaki — project lead at BLS Wallet and the scaling and privacy exploration group — calls “account abstraction.”
“Account abstraction will change the way users experience Web3.”
James Zaki, project lead at BLS Wallet.
BLS Wallet is part of the Ethereum Foundation-backed privacy exploration & scaling team.
The announcement follows the valuation of competing wallet Blocto Wallet which rose 700% following a Series A funding round that saw participation from well-known investors such as Mark Cuban and 500 Global.
