Cointelegraph is proud to announce its partnership with Phaver, a mobile Web3 social app with over 140,000 monthly users. The partnership with Cointelegraph is an important milestone for Phaver and Lens Protocol, both of whom are on a mission to develop and grow Web3 alternatives to today’s social media platforms. This is also an important step for Cointelegraph, which believes in pioneering the social media service Web3. Phaver’s mission is to provide a gateway to the social Web3, enabling anyone to access on-chain social graphs like Lens even without a wallet while enabling crypto natives with the option to make all posts and follows on-chain and build their reputation by displaying tokens that are not exchangeable assets in their wallet. The Phaver in-app loyalty program will also be releasing tokens this summer to help the most active users monetize their work.
Phaver is built on top of the Lens Protocol, a Web3 social protocol that runs on the Polygon blockchain. Lens allows users to create noncustodial social media profiles without permission and retain ownership of their social graphics and content. These profiles are multi-application and can be used across multiple applications built on Lens, as opposed to the social platform Web2 in that any application profile belongs to the application for which it was originally created.
Lens Protocol operates in an environmentally friendly manner; Protocol integration with Polygon ensures that each publication has a minimal carbon footprint.
