One after another, self-made crypto wallet and exchange platform Coins.ph quickly listed new coins on its platform. Recently, the company added new meme coin Pepe and Floki to its Coins Pro platform.
The addition of two meme coins to the local exchange is almost the same as Binance’s initiative, when the global crypto company on May 5 announced the listing of Pepe and Floki “in the Innovation Zone and will open trading for this spot trading pair.”

A “meme coin” is a type of cryptocurrency created as a joke or parody based on a popular Internet meme or trend. Their value depends largely on their popularity and hype on social media rather than any significant technology or utility.
Pepe is a coin that takes inspiration from the popular internet meme “Pepe the Frog”, originally created by artist Matt Furie. It currently has 420 trillion coins in circulation.
Floki is a multi-chain token created in August 2021 as a tribute to Elon Musk’s dog. It has been one of the top crypto winners in the market for the past two weeks.
In a recently released report from CoinGecko, Pepe and Floki are among the top memecoins that Filipinos are interested in. Moreover, as per the data, the Philippines is ranked fourth globally in terms of interest in meme coins, with 5.39% of Filipinos surveyed interested in investing in and holding meme coins.
This token has not yet been added to several international cryptocurrency exchanges.
Coin CEO on Quick List
Last March, BitPinas reported Coins.ph’s addition of its RON Axie Infinity Sky Mavis token to its platform, ahead of major international exchanges.
Coins CEO Wei Zhou commented on LinkedIn that the company “Just going faster from here.”
Apart from Ron, the platform previously added more coins in the same month. Coins.ph recently listed Tron (TRX) and TRC-20 USDT tokens, then Lido (LDO) and Rocket Pool (RPL).
