A project claiming to be an “AI-based” decentralized application has taken nearly a million dollars from its users in suspected fraud. This comes along with artificial intelligence (AI) which has recently become a topic of interest due to the capabilities featured by ChatGPT v4.
At the time of this writing, blockchain security platform CertiK has just revealed that Harvest Keeper is responsible for the theft of approximately $933,000 worth of customer money. According to CertiK’s findings, users on the Ethereum network, BNB Chain, and Polygon together lost around 219 thousand dollars due to ice phishing transactions. The cybersecurity firm pleads with customers to take back any rights they have granted to the initiative and warns users to avoid engaging with the organization’s website.
An Artificial Intelligence (AI) initiative known as Harvest Keeper claims that it “optimizes the trading process for maximum payouts” and guarantees a return of 4.81% of customer deposits. The platform advertises on its website that it will provide a 101% return on investment in 21 days and an 8% incentive for referrals. The initiative has more than 32,000 people following it on Telegram channels and around 30,000 people following it on Twitter.
On the other hand, amid the renewed interest in ChatGPT on Twitter, hundreds of profiles on the social platform have emerged with claims that they are related to “CryptoGPT”. On March 10, a hashtag named “CryptoGPT” related to the ongoing token project was trending on Twitter. As a result, a number of accounts very similar to him emerged, some of which advertised fake freebies. In addition, dozens of Twitter accounts with the same name have disrupted the social platform, and several of these accounts have advertised freebies and airdrops that may or may not be real.
After the latest version of ChatGPT demonstrated that it is capable of auditing smart contracts on Ethereum, many people started wondering whether or not it will one day replace code generators.
